Karma is a Michelin Bib Gourmand Indian restaurant at 2741 West 4th Avenue with nine vegan curries and nine vegetarian curries on the regular menu — not a separate menu, not a sub-section, not one token dish. Every vegan curry is gluten-free and dairy-free, everything is cooked to order on four spice levels, and a table where half the party eats meat and half doesn't orders from exactly the same page.
Book a table See the full menuVegan and vegetarian dishes sit on the same menu as everything else, at the same prices. Nobody orders from a separate card.
Four spice levels — mild, medium, hot and Indian hot. Nothing is pre-portioned from a batch, so the heat is yours to set.
All nine vegan curries are marked gluten-free and dairy-free. So are eight of the nine vegetarian curries, which use paneer or cream rather than flour.
Half the party vegetarian is the normal case, not a special request. Order across the whole menu and share.

Saffron rice pudding is the one dessert marked gluten-free and dairy-free on the menu — it's cooked with coconut rather than milk.
[CONFIRM — is vegan naan available on request? Do the plain naan and tandoori roti contain dairy? This single sentence is the one a competitor put on their site and won bookings with. Do not guess it.]
[CONFIRM — shared tandoor, shared pans, shared fryer? Say plainly what is and isn't separated. An honest "shared kitchen, dedicated pans on request" reads better than silence.]
[CONFIRM which vegetarian curries can be cooked without cream or butter — and which can't, because paneer is the dish. Naming both is what makes the page trustworthy.]
Several curries are built on cashew — the kormas and Malai Kofta in particular. [CONFIRM the kitchen's nut-allergy handling before publishing. Do not guess this one.] Always tell your server about an allergy before you order.
All nine vegan curries and all nine vegetarian curries are marked gluten-free. The breads are not, apart from Missi Roti, which is made with chickpea flour. Rice, dals and tandoori vegetables are the safest gluten-free spine for a meal.
Nothing needs arranging in advance. If you're eight or more, tell us on the booking so we can seat you properly — group bookings are here.
No. Nine vegan curries are on the standing menu and cooked to order like everything else. Walk in, or book a table.
No — it's cooked with butter, which is why it sits in the vegetarian list rather than the vegan one. For a vegan lentil dish, order the Yellow Dal Tadka.
Chana Masala or Eggplant Bhartha with coconut rice, and vegetable pakora to start. Ask for medium unless you want real heat.
Saffron rice pudding is marked gluten-free and dairy-free — cooked with coconut rather than milk. [CONFIRM it contains no dairy at all before calling it vegan outright.]
It's the normal case. One menu, one set of prices, everything arrives together — nobody is handed a separate card or left with one option.
